After a fast dash to the hospital in Urbana early in the morning, Dec. 28, 2005, our twins were born at 11:22 a.m. and 11:24 a.m., Dr. Nancy Fay presiding.
Both Jun and the babies did well. Audrey & Aaron arrived at 37 weeks, the average arrival date for twins. For months we'd been talking about December 28 as the possible birthday. Jun's mother had pointed out long ago that this day (Nov. 28 in the Chinese Lunar Calendar) was one of the luckiest days of the year. Sure enough, early that morning Jun's water broke, and we rushed to the hospital.
Aaron weighed in at 5 lbs. 5 oz. and Audrey at 5 lbs. 12 oz. To see our "official" birth announcement, click here .
