What better way to welcome you to my little photo album then with these big smiles. Just look at those grins! That can only mean one thing...That's right! We ARE sisters. And just in case you are wondering I am the one on the right and next to me is my kid-sister Ivana. Although she is only 13 months younger she'll always be my little sister. Beside the fact that she is so adorable she is also the sweetest girl ever :) She has it all-both brains and looks. Currently she is doing her undergrad studies in business management so that one day she can make big-bucks and financially support my love for science ;). Another thing to mention, more like a warning, is that she could have been an excellent lawyer since having an argument with her is a no-win situation because she can be very persuasive. :)

Now, this funny-looking guy with bunny-ears next to me is the coolest and the best guy ever! His name is Slobodan and he is the worlds best Dad - my Dad :) He is smart, funny, well educated, goofy, quite handsome, charming and much more. I also have to say I take after him ;)...or at least that he is the one most responsible for the person I am today. Besides being a dad he is also a machine engineer and works in agriculture. He is one of those people that know almost everything about everything (the game-show-quiz-type) but history is his specialty. He even knows how to do the dishes but doesn't like to flaunt it ;)

This is me on my graduation day with 3 girls I love most in my life. On my left by now you probably can recognize my sister. The girl in red, on the far left is Jelena (this would be pronounced Yelena) - one of my two best girl friends. She was also my roomie for 4 years while we were undergrads on Belgrade University. She is a molecular biologist and right now she is a graduate student in genetics. She is also the strangest girl I've ever met. It is always amazing to see the world from her point of view and that's what I like most about her. Now, if this picture makes any sense you can guess that the girl on the right is my other best friend - Mirjana (you would pronounce this something like Meeryana) who will also in the future be my family doctor since she is a med-student. It's always good to have at least one med-students as your friend but if she is your best-friend...then, my friends, you've hit the jack-pot! ;) But this girl also is pure fun :) Very outgoing, cheerful with very positive attitude about everything. But also she is always there when I need a "shoulder to cry".

Guy on the left is my ex-roommate and a very good friend Zarija (who is btw also astronomy grad-student on UIUC) . He is the guy who makes me watch Monday night football and play catch when it's freezing outside. But he is also the guy who somehow manages to live with me and not go crazy from all the noise I make playing my electric guitar and who is also nice enough to give me the control over the remote (except when there is Bears game on TV). Girl next to him is our friend Dragana and the three of us were astronomy undergrads together on Belgrade University where she is now doing her grad-studies.

The guy next to Zarija is our friend Bojan (pronounced as Boyan). He is the craziest physicist on Belgrade University who is also doing his under grad studies in theology. As you can see there's a thin line between physics and religion :).

Here you can see my good friend Jelena together with her little niece Vanja. You know how there are some people with whom you feel instant connection although you just met them? Well that's what happened with me and her: I met her not so long ago and we just clicked! It's never to late for another best friend especially when she is someone who has no trouble making you laugh even when you are feeling blue and who is not bored when I start with my astro-babbling. :) She is a big kidder, a lot of fun and has great taste in poetry.

These are my friends Tanja (pronounced as Tanya; she's the one on the left) and Mirjana (the one in the middle). We did a lot of partying together during our high school years. Although we are some what more serious now there are still some crazy moments like on this picture. :)

This pretty sharp-looking dude here is my high-school-buddy Dushan. He usually goes by the nickname Ach or Fach. If you need to talk to someone about cars and/or computers he's definitely your guy. It is also a known fact that  the best barbeques are organized  at his weekend cottage on Fruska Gora.

He is also one of those die-hard Metallica fans and so when I went to the US the only thing he told me was "I'll kill you if you get to see them live before I do!" . Luckily for me Metallica stopped by Belgrade on their 2004 tour through Europe (hopefully we'll see some pictures soon) :) .

Some of the gang you see here you may already recognize from the previous photos. One of the new faces you see here is Ana, the blond girl who is being held by the blue-T-shirt-red-face guy called Wolfram. Ana is one of my best friends from high-school. She recently became a graduate of the Medical University in Vienna (it's always good to have doctors as friends :))  .  Also,  I am soon to become Ana's 'kuma''Kuma' is a title that a girl get when she is like a 'made of honor' at her friend's wedding. The difference between being 'kuma' and  a  'made of honor' is such that when one becomes  a 'kuma' her duties don't stop after the wedding but continue through life. So basically, in our customs, becoming someone's 'kuma' is like becoming a family member. Ana's husband, my 'kum'-to-be, is Andreas, the guy on the far left. I have to say, he's a pretty cool guy...for an Austrian ;) (not at all uptight as I imagined Austrians before). And finally, the guy holding Ana, is Wolfram, who is to be the  'best man' of Andreas .

Most of the people on this picture are one of my best friends from elementary school. Sitting, on the far right, is Zorica (pronounced Zoritza) . She was crazy before, she still is, and that's what I like about her- it's always fun talking to her :) . Next to Zorica is Bojana - first mother-to-be of my friends. Then there's me, next to Bojana, and finally on the far left is Goran, Bojana's husband.  Standing, on the left is Dushan, my best guy-friend from elementary school, and next to him is Goran's best man at the wedding, Miljan (pronounced Milyan).
