Andromeda sweeps from right to left. The bright star
at upper right is Alpheratz, Alpha Andromedae, which is also the
northeastern star of the
Great Square of Pegasus. Almach, Gamma
Andromedae is toward lower left, while Mirach (Beta Andromedae) is just
below center. Delta is just below a line between Alpheratz and
Mirach. Pi is up and to the left of Delta, Epsilon down
and to the right. The star near the lower edge at left is in
Triangulum.
The Andromeda Nebula, M 31, is the fuzzy object toward
top center. Nu Andromedae is just down and to the left of it.
Epsilon is the lower right of the trio down and to the
left of Alpheratz. Phi And is the brighter star immediately to the left
of M 31.
Lambda Andromedae is off the picture to the upper right, but appears
on the deep image.
